During the 2019 off-season, it was revealed that North American esports organization Team Liquid had acquired Fnatic jungler Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen. However, visa issues have delayed the 22-year-old’s arrival into the League of Legends Championship Series (LCS). In a new Twitter post, the Danish player revealed that his visa has been finally approved.

Replacement for Broxah in LCS
Originally, former FlyQuest jungler and current Team Liquid positional coach Eugene “Pobelter” Park was set to start if Broxah’s visa had not gone through in time.
However, the North American team substituted academy jungler Shern “Shernfire” Tai in the place of Broxah instead. While Shernfire tried his best, the 21-year-old player didn’t have any recent experience on the main stage of the LCS. He most recently competed for organizations like the Dire Wolves in the Oceanic Pro League and Super Nova from Scouting Grounds.
The news arrives as Team Liquid sits at 4th place of the 2020 LCS Spring Split. The team boasts 2 wins but also 2 losses against teams Cloud9 and Dignitas. For a team that has regularly swept the North American League of Legends scene, these results are very subpar. The 2020 season has seen the additions of new organizations, with many preseason predictions being proven wrong so far.
Team Liquid in 2020 season
The current roster consists of mid laner Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen, AD carry Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng, support Jo “CoreJJ” Yong-in, top laner Jung “Impact” Eon-yeong, and Broxah as jungler. The core roster has not achieved much at the last two World Championships, with 9 – 12th placements at both events. Nevertheless, the team has proven itself in the regional scene with consistent first-place finishes.
Broxah has a wealth of experience from the League of Legends European Championship (LEC). While with Fnatic, he led the team to a 2nd place finish at the 2018 World Championships and 5 – 8th at the 2019 iteration. With the European scene having a higher skill level than North America, many are looking forward to his debut.
