In the Jan. 12 Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific update, Raven Software decided to buff one of Vanguard’s most popular weapons; the Automaton assault rifle, which dominated the first month of Season 1, had some buffs added to its recoil control. While the Automaton already had terrific recoil control, some players preferred other weapons, such as the new Welgun, that had even less recoil. However, with the AR’s new buff, that recoil control has been minimized further. With this change, players are redesigning their best Automaton loadout in Warzone Pacific.

The Automaton was the assault rifle of choice for many players in the first few weeks of Season 1. However, as time went on, players began to use other ARs, like the Cooper Carbine and even older weapons like the Kilo 141. Those decisions are slowly getting reversed following the Automaton’s buff on Jan. 12, though.

Best Automaton loadout in Warzone Pacific

The exact buffs for the Automaton went as follows:

  • Recoil decreased
  • Recoil Deviation decreased

Both of these buffs essentially give the Automaton less recoil, making it easier to control after initially firing and during sustained fire. This changes up the Automaton’s loadout slightly, seeing as players now need less recoil control compensation.

  • Muzzle: MX Silencer
  • Barrel: Empress 620mm Precision
  • Optic: G16 2.5x
  • Stock: ZAC Skeletal
  • Underbarrel: M1941 Hand Stop
  • Magazine: 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drum
  • Ammunition: Lengthened
  • Rear Grip: Polymer Grip
  • Perk: Tight Grip
  • Perk 2: Fully Loaded

There are still some recoil control attachments on this loadout. The Empress 620mm Precision barrel, M1941 Hand Stop, Polymer Grip and Tight Grip all help to make the Automaton a laser beam. The G16 2.5x optic uses all of these attachments to provide players with a clear and accurate sight to eliminate enemies at longer ranges.

The loadout is rounded out by the 6.5mm Sakura 75 Round Drum to give players more than enough bullets to eliminate multiple enemies with one mag. Lengthened is also in use to make those bullets hit their target faster. This Automaton loadout in Warzone Pacific should be firmly be back within the meta at the tail end of Season 1.
