When it comes to the top sniper rifles in Call of Duty: Warzone, the AX-50 is no longer mentioned. There was a time when it was arguably the top option for snipers but those days are long gone. In Season 3, players have opted for choices like the HDR, LW3 Tundra and Swiss K31.
However, the AX-50 is still an enjoyable Warzone weapon to equip on occasion. Its stats are comparable to a sniper like the Pelington 703 and it can compete with something like the HDR at long-range. While it might not produce the same results as those weapons, there’s still reason to use the AX-50, especially with its recommended loadout in Season 3.
Best AX-50 loadout in Warzone
The AX-50 is best at long-range in Warzone as its mobility leaves something to be desired. While it’s not as clunky as the HDR, it still can’t run and gun like the Swiss K31 or Kar98k. For this reason, the AX-50’s recommended loadout is more balanced for medium and long-range encounters than close-range quickscoping in Warzone.
However, there are some attachments in the loadout that help with close-range gunfights. Thus, there’s some flexibility present but it should still be used a bit farther away. It should also be paired with an SMG or mobile AR as a secondary. Below is the recommended loadout for the AX-50 in Warzone Season 3.

- Barrel: 32.0″ Factory Barrel
- Optic: Variable Zoom Scope
- Laser: Tac Laser
- Ammunition: 7 Round Mags
For starters, the Monolithic Suppressor is a common sight for any Warzone loadout. It lowers recoil and keeps players off the radar when firing. Next, the 32.0″ Factory Barrel is the best choice in this slot thanks to its increases to damage range, bullet velocity and recoil.
The Tac Laser might be an odd choice for a sniper but it increases ADS speed, as well as aiming stability and steadiness when walking. This is helpful for both close and long-range gunfights. Rounding out the class is the Variable Zoom Scope and 7 Round Mags; both of which are standard for a sniper.
The AX-50 isn’t the best choice for sniping in Warzone but this loadout shouldn’t be overlooked.
