The best CX-9 loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4

Warzone's newest weapon has a solid loadout

Yesterday, Raven Software released a surprise update for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4. It featured some bug fixes, a nerf to the Milano 821 and a brand new addition to the weapon pool. After months of rumors, the CX-9 submachine gun finally arrived in Warzone and Modern Warfare. Players can unlock the weapon in either game but Warzone is the more popular choice.

As a result, players are wondering what the best loadout for the CX-9 is in Warzone. At this point, it’s only been out for a day but fans of the battle royale can be an impatient bunch. Luckily, the recommended loadout for the CX-9 follows a familiar path for Warzone SMGs and it will require players to level it up quite a bit.

The best CX-9 loadout in Warzone

The CX-9, while not yet fully fleshed out, appears to be a standard SMG at its core. It doesn’t have any truly outlandish stats but it features a fast fire rate. Some players are comparing it to the ISO SMG, which possesses a lot of the same attachments as the CX9.

As the fire rate is a little faster for the new SMG, its recoil tends to bounce from side to side. This makes it a little tougher to use at range but, up close, the CX-9 should shred through enemies.

Below is the recommended loadout for the CX-9 in Warzone:

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Underbarrel: Merc Foregrip
  • Stock: CX-FR
  • Perk: Sleight of Hand
  • Ammunition: 50 Rnd Drum

As the CX-9 should likely be used at close to low-medium-ranges, the loadout doesn’t feature many attachments to lower recoil. While the Merc Foregrip does that, its main attribute is increasing hip-fire accuracy.

For damage purposes, as always, the Monolithic Suppressor comes in handy. This keeps players off the radar when firing as well. The next three attachments are meant to bolster the CX-9’s effectiveness in close-range. The CX-FR stock improves ADS speed and Sleight of Hand lowers the reload speed. This helps the 50 Rnd Drum be more effective, as it increases reload time but adds some extra bullets to the clip.

The CX-9 may not yet have a firm place in the Warzone meta but this loadout should be one that players can use with great success at close range.
