In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Treyarch has done a fantastic job of making sure most weapons are viable in one way or another. From the assault rifles to light machine guns, there are few guns that aren’t worth using. This even reigns true for Battle Pass weapons, including the popular FARA 83.

Introduced in the Season 2 Battle Pass, the FARA 83 quickly became a fan-favorite weapon. This was in no small part due to its close resemblance to the Galil from the original Black Ops. Like that AR, the FARA features great all-around stats that allow complete freedom when designing a loadout. Of course, some attachments are still better than others.

Best FARA 83 loadout in Black Ops Cold War

Like most other assault rifles in Cold War, there aren’t too many necessities when it comes to building a FARA 83 loadout. No one area needs to be addressed with multiple attachments, meaning that players can use the best attachments available instead of having to go with ones that largely boost a specific stat.

The recommended loadout for the FARA looks like other AR classes but differs in some ways. However, for players that use rifles on a consistent basis, this loadout will look quite familiar.

  • Barrel: 18.1″ Takedown
  • Optic: Microflex LED
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Ammunition: VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag
  • Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap

As the FARA 83 is a rifle at its core, this loadout focuses on medium-range engagements, where rifles are most proficient. The Spetsnaz Grip and 18.1″ Takedown barrel provide solid recoil control and damage range boosts, respectively. Both of those areas are also managed better with the Microflex LED; one of the best mid-range sights.

Rounding out the loadout is the VDV 50 Rnd Fast Mag. This increases bullet capacity and reload speed but decreases ADS time. Luckily, that stat is evened out with the GRU Elastic Wrap, making this a perfectly balanced FARA 83 loadout.
