In terms of sheer damage and firepower, few weapons can match the M82 sniper rifle in Warzone. The Barrett .50 Cal replica hits extremely hard, as a sniper of its caliber should. However, it has been overlooked by players in previous seasons as its viability doesn’t compare to other snipers in the battle royale. For example, the LW3 Tundra or HDR have been a player’s first choice over the M82.

While the Warzone’s M82 may never have the overall effectiveness of those weapons, it can still be deadly with the right loadout. Specific attachments must be used in order for the M82 to compete with the top snipers.

Best M82 loadout in Warzone

The M82’s biggest issue in Warzone is its recoil and mobility. It is incredibly bulky, which doesn’t allow players to rush around with it as they can with other snipers. Unfortunately, this problem cannot be fixed with any loadout, as mobility-specific attachments aren’t worth space in the five attachment slots.

However, the M82’s recoil, along with its bullet velocity, can be improved drastically in Warzone. Though this doesn’t make it the best sniper in Warzone, it allows players to have a high-powered weapon for long-range in which they can down enemies with one or two bullets.

  • Muzzle: Wrapped Suppressor
  • Barrel: 22.6″ Combat Recon
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Stock: SAS Combat Stock
  • Ammunition: 7 Rnd

As with most sniper loadouts, the key to this M82 is the barrel: the 22.6″ Combat Recon. This increases the gun’s bullet velocity, which helps with bullet drop and gives players a better chance at hitting enemies from long-range. Next, the SAS Combat Stock is a key attachment, as it gives players a little more mobility than they had previously. Although it doesn’t give players the ability to rush around, it does improve overall mobility.

The rest of the M82 Warzone loadout is standard — with the Wrapped Suppressor, Axial Arms 3x scope and 7 Rnd mag all popular attachments for snipers. This M82 loadout may not match the Tundra or HDR but it can be a great choice once fully mastered.
