The Season 4 Reloaded update in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War introduced multiple new pieces of content. There are the new maps Rush in multiplayer and Mauer der Toten in Zombies, fresh game modes and, of course, shiny new weapons. These new Season 4 weapons include the Mace and OTs 9 SMG.

The OTS 9 seems to be one of the strongest guns in the game already. While it carries a small magazine, it is a powerful SMG capable of decimating two to three enemies in a row without players breaking a sweat. Players have also discovered that, despite its somewhat high recoil, the damage profile of the SMG is among the best in Cold War.

As players begin to level it up more and unlock attachments, they don’t have to look far for the best OTs 9 loadout in Cold War.

Best OTs 9 loadout in Black Ops Cold War

At the heart of the recommended OTs 9 loadout are attachments to help with its recoil and magazine size. These are the weak points of the gun and need to be addressed directly. Of course, boosting other areas — such as damage range — is on the table as well.

  • Muzzle: Spetsnaz Compensator
  • Barrel: 8.1″ Task Force
  • Underbarrel: Spetsnaz Grip
  • Magazine: Spetsnaz 40 Rnd
  • Handle: GRU Elastic Wrap

The OTs 9 loadout starts with the Spetsnaz Compensator and Grip, as both attachments reduce recoil. Following that is the 8.1″ Task Force barrel, which increases damage range, bullet velocity and overall damage. It does feature an increase in recoil but it’s canceled out by the previous two attachments.

The final aspects of the loadout deal with mobility and magazine size. The GRU Elastic Wrap improves ADS time and adds some flinch resistance. The Spetsnaz 40 Rnd mag doubles the gun’s ammo in each clip. Players can opt for the VDV 32 Rnd Fast Mag but that comes with a 25% decrease to ADS time.

Once players have some time with this OTs 9 loadout, they might have a new go-to gun in Cold War.
