The TEC-9 is one of the most unique weapons to arrive in Call of Duty: Warzone since Black Ops Cold War was integrated. Introduced with last night’s Season 5 update, the TEC-9 is a three-round burst SMG. It sports a compact size but can be extremely powerful in the right hands and with the correct loadout.
The burst SMGs haven’t traditionally been too powerful in Call of Duty. In Warzone, specifically, the KSP 45 was once considered a viable weapon but it has since fallen out of favor with players. The insertion of the TEC-9 possibly brings another another burst SMG into the meta.
The best TEC-9 loadout in Warzone
Though the TEC-9 is a burst SMG, its recommended loadout doesn’t keep it that way. Instead, the loadout utilizes an attachment to turn it into a fully automatic weapon. Paired with that are attachments that boost damage range and mobility to make for an intriguing SMG in Warzone.

The Full Auto Repeater is the attachment that players want to equip whenever they unlock it. The muzzle turns the TEC-9 into a fully auto SMG and ups its fire rate while lowering the accuracy. Equipped with the Full Auto Repeater is the 4.9″ Task Force barrel, which boosts damage range and bullet velocity to make use of the newfound fully-auto fire rate.
The next two attachments deal strictly with mobility. The Tiger Team Spotlight and Raider Stock boost ADS and sprint-to-fire time, allowing players to raise their gun up quicker. Finally, the STANAG 48 Rnd magazine provides players with some wiggle room now that they have a fully auto weapon. Reloading won’t be as much of an issue with this ammunition. This completes a stellar loadout for the TEC-9 and it very well could become a meta weapon in Warzone soon.
