The Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War XM4 assault rifle was one of several weapons to receive a buff in Season 4 of Warzone. Raven Software does this every season, but the buff to the XM4 certainly mixes up the AR meta quite a bit.

Previously, the meta was dominated by guns like the AMAX and Cold War AK-47. Season 4 is a different story, however, as new weapons like the C58 and XM4 are becoming increasingly popular. While the C58 features a fantastic loadout, the recommended loadout for the XM4 might suit a wider majority of players.

Below, players can see how to dominate with the XM4 in Season 4 using its top-rated loadout.

Best XM4 loadout in Warzone

There might not be a better weapon at range in Warzone than the XM4. It’s buff in Season 4 was enough to make it a powerhouse at medium and long-range. The exact wording for the buff, as provided by Raven Software, is listed below:

  • Neck Damage Multiplier increased from 1 to 1.5

While this might not seem like much, if players can aim for the upper body, they can eliminate enemies in one or two fewer shots thanks to the buff. This makes the already decent XM4 even stronger at range and also improves its close-range ability. The recommended loadout for Season 4 boosts both of these stats to turn the AR into even more of a formidable presence.

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: 13.5″ Task Force
  • Optic: Visiontech 2x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 60 Round

One of the key elements of this loadout is the optic. The Visiontech 2x might not be the highest or lowest zoomed scope but it provides players with enough flexibility for any gunfight. Following the sight are standard attachments like the Agency Suppressor, 13.5″ Task Force and Field Agent Grip. Recoil control, damage range and bullet velocity are also boosted with these attachments.

Players will be able to match any other weapon in Warzone with this XM4 loadout.
