The new Pacific Championship Series schedule has been revealed

The Pacific Championship Series (PCS) kicks off on Feb 29. The newest League of Legends competition was previously delayed due to the coronavirus risk in the region. To prevent the risk to the players and broadcast team, the tournament is now held online. With the event starting date less than a week away, the schedule for the upcoming weeks is now available.

There are several matches you don’t want to miss in the new league, and there are several games I’m looking forward to on the first matchday. These matches are played by Hong Kong’s Talon Esports, who is facing off against Bangkok’s Nova Esports at 10 p.m. GMT+8, and the game between the Taipei teams Alpha Esports and J-Team at 7 p.m. GMT+8.

On the second day of Week 1 (March 1), my eyes are on the matches played by Manila’s Liyab Esports and the Kuala Lumpur Berjaya Dragons. Liyab Esports faces off against Talon Esports at 8 p.m. GMT+8, where the Berjaya Dragons face Alpha Esports the match before.

The schedule going forward

Several weeks of the PCS were missed due to the coronavirus risk. Because of this, there will be an additional day of broadcast each week going forward. Starting from March 6 onward, the PCS will broadcast every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for the upcoming split. The matches start each day at 10 a.m. CET / 4 a.m. EST / 1 a.m. CST. The matches continue throughout the day, ending at 4 p.m. CET / 10 a.m. EST / 7 a.m. CST.

The major downside of this schedule is that it is nearly impossible to watch for those in the U.S. time zones. However, these times do allow viewers from China and other Asian regions to spectate the games at the time of the broadcast.

The full schedule updated each week can be found on the official PCS website. All games of the PCS will be broadcast on the lolpacific Twitch channel in English, with additional streams available for local languages later on.
