The massive overhaul of the 2020 Call of Duty League continues. Numerous organizations have revealed that they’re either cleaning house or leaving one member of the 2020 roster on board. The Seattle Surge, Paris Legion, L.A. Guerrillas, OpTic Gaming L.A., and London Royal Ravens have all made significant roster changes. Well, you can now add the New York Subliners to that list. While it’s not a huge overhaul of the 2020 roster, it still leaves a couple of spots open on the starting roster. Also, New York released one of the biggest names in the Call of Duty community.

New York Subliners drop half of its roster

It was reported last week that New York was looking to make big changes to its roster. Donny “Temp” Laroda even revealed his release last week on stream by saying he only had one offer from another organization. With this revelation, it was expected the Subliners would be releasing a good portion of the roster.

However, New York retained more of its 2020 team than most other squads in the CDL. They chose to only release two starters, being Temp and Lamar “Accuracy” Abedi. This was also accompanied by the release of Nick “Happy” Suda and the famous Doug “Censor” Martin.

Both Happy and Censor never got to see the professional scene, as they rode the bench all season long. It might be tough for either to find another substitute spot in 2021 but Censor could be signed simply because of his brand.

As of right now, the New York Subliners are left with three starters for 2021:

  • Dillon “Attach” Price
  • Tommy “ZooMaa” Paparatto
  • Makenzie “Mack” Kelley

The current rumor is that reigning world champion James “Clayster” Eubanks could look to join the roster. Clayster has played with both ZooMaa and Attach in the past on FaZe Clan, so the connection is there. However, that rumor is one of the weaker ones out there currently, so anything could still happen.
