This change to Wattson’s ultimate in Apex Legends would help out Sentinel players

So far, Season 4 of Apex Legends has gone over great with the community. Respawn introduced some fantastic new content, like Revenant and a different map, but also fixed many issues. Though, like usual, Respawn could use some help from the fans in making even more changes to the game. One of these proposed alterations is a change to Wattson’s ultimate ability to match the new content of Season 4. The concept would make Wattson and the new Sentinel sniper rifle a deadly pair.

Should Apex Legends revamp Wattson’s ultimate?

Wattson, in her current state, is a fairly popular and powerful character in Apex Legends. She is consistently used in the professional scene as well as in Ranked play. However, this is mainly because of her tactical ability, which can lock down a building for several minutes.

The electricity-fueled legend’s ultimate is another story, though. The Interception Pylon is an electrical beacon that destroys any incoming equipment and recharges shields for you and your teammates. While this is useful in its current state, it can be improved for Season 4.

This idea became a talking point thanks to Reddit user tomthefear’s post yesterday.

Wattson’s towers should charge the sentinel when in range. Discuss… from apexlegends

Garnering over 10,000 upvotes, it’s clear that many fans support this change to Wattson’s ultimate. Not only would it make Wattson more team-oriented, but the proposed change makes sense. The Sentinel sniper can be charged using a Shield Battery, which is essentially what the Interception Pylon already does.

However, sometimes Shield Batteries are difficult to come by or you don’t have the luxury of using one on the Sentinel. So, this change to Wattson’s ultimate would make it so you don’t need a Shield Battery to charge up the weapon.

This is a relatively minor change that would help out all teams that feature a Wattson. Although, Respawn hasn’t been too willing to rework the legends in the past.
