Tricked Esport reveals new CSGO roster

The Danish esports organization Tricked Esport announced earlier today that the organization would be making a return to the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CSGO) scene. The Tricked organization left the scene last November, when the old roster of Tricked left for the Spanish organization Mad Lions.

Nicolai “Torben” Amorim is the star player of the new Tricked lineup. He is joined in the lineup by his teammate of Söderberg & Partners, Magnus “Toft” Toft. The duo played together for a short period of time back in April of 2019, when the organization competed at the Copenhagen Games 2019. The team, at the time, managed to place 5th/6th at the event.

The other part of the new Tricked lineup comes from the former Maquinas roster. Oliver “Kwezz” Rasmussen, who competed shortly on the Optic Gaming roster, is bringing two of his former teammates with him to complete the new all-Danish roster. Andreas “KiR” Kirstein and Philip “Lucky” Ewald are the final two members of the new roster. The new team has a long way to go to achieve its goals this year, but the fans are confident.

In addition to the five Danish players that will be competing on the roster, the team will be joined by Coach Philippe “Winspai” Mølgaard Ouabaid. Winspai was the coach for the previous iteration of the Tricked roster, as well as the Tricked Academy roster before that starting in Jan. 2019.

Tricked Esport’s sports director, Morten “Phy” Jensen, said the following about the new team:

I’m delighted with this new lineup. We have gotten all the players that were on our priority list. They all both have the personalities and talents to make it very far. We have now begun the slow but steady grind according to our manual for success. Our shared ambition is to make it within Top 30 in the world, and we aim to do that within 12 months. 2020 is going to be an exciting year for our CS:GO department.

We are all eager to see whether the new Tricked roster can live up to expectations. The team’s first official game will be at the Geeks Gone Wild event in Aalborg, Denmark. The event starts Jan. 24, with the finals happening Jan. 25. A total of 64 teams will be competing in a double-elimination format.
