TSM may sign Evil Geniuses top-laner Huni for 2021 roster
TSM is reportedly signing current Evil Geniuses top-laner Heo “Huni” Seung-hoon, replacing Sergen “Broken Blade” Çelik. Alongside Huni is the possibility of Suning support Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh joining the team. While the news is not yet confirmed, reputable sources have shared some info that these picks have more than a 50 percent chance of going through.
According to League of Legends show host Travis Gafford, TSM and Huni’s deal is still unconfirmed as there are also rumors stating that it may not go through after all. Regardless, there’s still a chance that the famously over-priced pro player may soon be a part of North America’s top League of Legends team. The South Korea-native will be replacing BrokenBlade, as he now qualifies as a North American resident. Because of this, he won’t be taking up an import slot in the team.

Huni has a pretty solid track history of great results through 2018 and 2017. He landed at the top of the ladder in the LCK and LCS through several tournaments, but disappointed fans when he failed to make it to the 2020 LCS Spring Split playoffs. At the time, he played for Dignitas under a 2-year $2.3 million contract. Unfortunately, the organization allowed to him explore other opportunities before his 2-year contract was up.

Additionally, rumors are also saying that FlyQuest mid-laner Tristan “PowerOfEvil” Schrage will soon join TSM, replacing the team’s long-time mid laner Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg. Alongside these changes, the team may also sign Worlds finalist Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh, who is currently the support player for Chinese team Suning. The 23-year old player has a long history of great performances and has even participated in each World Championship since 2015. If the rumors are true, he’ll be replacing Vincent “Biofrost” Wang for the upcoming 2021 roster.
