Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar is the pride of Indian VALORANT. With his dominance in the game and his devoted fan base, SkRossi is single-handedly bringing the nation of India back into the esports spotlight. But SkRossi’s journey to superstardom hasn’t been a smooth ride. He’s tried multiple titles, reinvented himself when servers in India shut down, and he’s even persevered through health issues to reach his potential.

Now, as India’s greatest VALORANT player, he is ready to make his mark on the world stage.

This is The Rise of SkRossi.

Who is SkRossi?

SkRossi’s gaming journey began after he completed 10th grade in Bangalore, Southern India, when he got his hands on his first PC. He first played Dota 2 and a third-person-shooter called GunZ: The Duel. Throughout 2017, it was with Point Blank, a South Korean FPS title with a look and feel similar to Counter-Strike, that SkRossi’s competitive career kicked off. But SkRossi’s time playing Point Blank didn’t last.

That very same year, the Indian servers were taken offline, so the young talent took his skills where they’d no doubt excel, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. After learning his craft in FaceIt pugs, SkRossi played with his friends on a stack called Team Wings. But, due to financial limitations, the side struggled to develop, until a local CS player and internet cafe owner decided to indirectly sponsor the team. Their growth led SkRossi to join his first true organization in July of 2019, BL4ZE Esports .

From then on, until late 2020, SkRossi made a name for himself as a fearless AWPer with god-like aim in India’s niche Counter-Strike scene. But, when it came to experience, SkRossi had always been behind the curve. So when an opportunity to start a new game on a level playing field with the rest of the world arose in VALORANT, SkRossi jumped in.
