After months of anticipation, VALORANT fans were able to experience the first international LAN event in the game’s history. VALORANT Champions Tour 2021 Stage 2: Masters Reykjavik gave us some insane moments that made us absolutely lose our minds. Whether it was players clutching out rounds with only their utility, or Sentinels solidifying their position as the best team in the world, we just couldn’t look away.  After it was all said and done, these are the top 5 VCT Masters 2 Plays that made us absolutely lose our minds.

Number 5: Two Birds, One Bullet

Coming in at number five you’ll see one of the most lucky collaterals ever, with Penny’s double Operator kill on Icebox.

Penny was on Defense and lurking around the A Site Catwalk with an OP. He found Fnatic’s Mystic and Doma pushing from Mid. Just as he pulls the trigger, Doma, playing as Sage, summoned an Ice Wall, which extended her hands out to get clipped by the shot, giving the Version1 sniper a beautiful two for one OP frag. Just a split-second earlier, or later, and he would’ve missed Doma.

So thanks to Penny, now we know the OP is a 1 shot kill even in the fingernail.

Number 4: Look Mom, No Hands!

Speaking of plays that made us freak out, how about a cheeky double turret kill from X10’s sushiboys.

sushiboys finds himself in a one versus two situation after his X10 teammate Foxz tries to plant the spike on A and gets downed by Crazy Raccoon’s rion. So with all three remaining players having insanely low HP and little time left to plant the spike, sushiboys gets his turret to do all the work for him. Who needs teammates anyway?

Number 3: SHOCK DART!

At number three we have one of the best plays from VCT Masters 2. An incredible shock dart clutch from Effys to secure map 2 against Team Liquid.

After Version1 lost the first map of the series, they fought hard on Ascent to turn things around. Near the end of the map, the score was close at 11-12 in favor of V1. TL weredesperate to win the round and wanted to force overtime. Three ultimates from both teams were invested into the fight and it quickly became an intense skirmish. After the spike had been planted, TL managed to wipe all of V1’s players except for Effys, who was not even on site at the time. Luckily he didn’t need to be.

He fired two perfect shock darts from A Long, landing directly on the spike twice in a row, killing soulcas who was in the middle of defusing.

Version1 won both the round and the map. They would eventually win map three as well to upset Team Liquid and send them to the lower bracket.
