It’s no secret that a lot of the British players, including XSET’s Rory “dephh” Jackson, found success in VALORANT after they struggled to break into Tier 1 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
But that’s not the case with our guest for this week’s episode of Showstopper. dephh was one of the most prolific British CS:GO players ever. It’s no surprise that he managed to translate his abilities to VALORANT.
On this week’s Showstopper, dephh joined hosts Yinsu Collins and Tyler “Fionn” Ezberger to reveal that he’d received a tempting offer from one of Europe’s biggest orgs, G2 Esports. A proposal he turned down for personal reasons.
dephh and his new team XSET took NA by storm at the first VALORANT Champions Tour Challengers of Stage 3. They finished second and secured a spot at the Challengers playoffs. And, they were the first team since April of 2021 to take down the Masters: Reykjavík champions, Sentinels. Finally, dephh broke down the secret to beating the world’s best teams.
The avid football fan also joined Yinsu and Tyler to rank some Euro 2020 uniforms as this week’s “roast my tier list” went down a slightly more unorthodox route than usual….
