Vitality confirm addition of dupreeh, magisk and zonic to CS:GO roster

The former Astralis members will round out Vitality’s roster

Team Vitality confirmed the latest additions to their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster on Wednesday. Following their recent departure from Astralis, the Danish trio of Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen, Emil “magisk” Reif and coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen will now compete on Vitality’s CS:GO team.

The former Astralis players will round out a roster that already includes the French trio of Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier and in-game leader Dan “apEX” Madesclaire.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have dupreeh, Magisk and zonic join the team,” ZywOo said in a press release. “Together they have achieved so much and I know there is a lot both myself and the team can learn from them. I am so ready to show everyone how far this team can go!”

In November, Astralis benched the Danish trio to make room for Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke, Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and coach Alexander “ave” Holdt. They formally departed from Astralis in December. Meanwhile, Vitality parted ways with coach Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam and Richard “shox” Papillon in December. In addition, Jayson “Kyojin” Nguyen Van confirmed on Wednesday that he would no longer be a part of Vitality’s active CS:GO roster.

More about Vitality’s new CS:GO players

Dupreeh is one of a small handful of players who have attended every CS:GO major. In the process, he has secured titles at four tournaments. Magisk boasts a victory at the prestigious Intel Grand Slam. Additionally, zonic earned the title of “Best Esports Coach” at The Game Awards in 2019 and 2020.

Vitality’s revamped roster is part of a €50 million investment from Rewired.gg. The investment is intended to turn the organization into a European esports powerhouse. Alongside their new CS:GO players, Vitality have also signed Luka “Perkz” Perković and Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság to their League of Legends team.

Vitality most recently finished in third place at the BLAST Premier: World Final 2021 in December. With their new additions, Vitality will look to climb to the top of the CS:GO scene in 2022.
