Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will begin one week from today on Thursday, December 10. Treyarch is planning to add a mass amount of content with this update. This includes new maps, Operators, perks, scorestreaks, and the first Battle Pass. However, another aspect that’s not exactly content-related is the integration of Warzone. Activision revealed that starting with Season 1, Cold War weapons would be introduced into the battle royale. Also coming is a new progression system and other gameplay content. While Activision originally said the first season was the target date, there’s reportedly been a delay in the integration.
Warzone – Black Ops Cold War integration supposedly delayed
First and foremost, this information is simply a report from an inside source. Activision has not come out and stated any such delay is taking place. However, the delay is being reported by multiple reputable sources, so it carries a little bit of weight.
There’s currently no reason as to why the integration of Warzone would be put on hold. Black Ops Cold War Season 1 is apparently still due for December 10. If the report is true, then only the Warzone aspect of the new season is going to release late.
Take this with a pinch of salt but I've just been told that there is a possibility that the WZ integration update for #BlackOpsColdWar might be delayed from Dec 10th to the 19th
Will update if possible asap

🚨WARZONE DELAYED🚨
According to @ModernWarzone we unfortunately might wait for the warzone update as it seems it's been delayed to December 19th from December 10
This is not official yet so don't take this officially, but it's seeming likely.

According to @ModernWarzone and @TheMW2Ghost, the integration of Warzone into Black Ops Cold War is being delayed until December 19. It’s unclear if both reports are from the same source or not. However, it’s “seeming likely” the delay is indeed happening.
If true, then this delay is presumably to ensure that the integration goes smoothly. The developers don’t want any kind of mistake that causes Warzone or Cold War to malfunction. Players might have to wait nine extra days, but if that results in a better experience, it’s worth it.
