Warzone Season 3 patch notes – FFAR and AUG nerfed, Roze skin adjusted

Just in time for the new Warzone map

Warzone and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Season 3 is officially underway. The Warzone map, Verdansk, has been nuked and there’s a new Battle Pass here containing fresh content. Equally important though, are the patch notes detailing all of the balance changes made in Warzone Season 3.

The weapon tuning patch notes for Black Ops Cold War already released prior to Season 3’s launch. However, the Warzone notes were only released just before the new season launched. Developer Raven Software has decided to completely change the meta of Warzone and even fix some long term balance problems.

Although the patch notes are pages long, here’s the rundown on what’s important for Warzone players.

The highlights of the Season 3 update surround several of the game’s more prominent weapons. The FFAR, AUG and M16 all received nerfs, which is surely going to change how people play Warzone. On the other hand, the QBZ-83, Krig 6 and LC10 were all buffed, so perhaps a new meta will surface.

Although this list covers the bases, other weapons, like the Pelington 703, were also nerfed.

Moving on to the infamous Roze skin, the developer has finally addressed its lack of visibility on the map. The official blurb in the patch notes reads as follows.

  • Roze
    • We’ve adjusted Roze in order to improve the Operators’ readability/visibility where sources of light are available.

Aside from these changes, the Warzone Season 3 update also includes changes to weapon attachments and adds in all of the new Black Ops Cold War content. The new Warzone map is also arriving at 3 p.m. ET on April 22.
