Overwatch League franchise Washington Justice announced that Riley “Fahzix” Taylor would be released from the organization. The North American esports organization is owned by Mark Ein, who also owns the Washington Kastles of World Team Tennis. Currently, the Washington Justice team is first place in Stage 4 of the Overwatch League, with 5 wins and 0 losses.

Fahzix released

Fahzix was an American main support player who joined Washington Justice in 2018. However, he moved to an inactive role in April of 2019. This change can be mainly attributed to Yeonjoon “ArK” Hong joining the organization from the New York Excelsior. On the other hand, it was also mentioned that he decided to take a break from professional play himself.

While on the team, Fahzix played heroes like Ana, Lucio, and Zenyatta. He has also played for previous organizations like KATT5, Contenders team EnVision Esports, and NRG Esports. Shortly after he moved to an inactive role, Fahzix moved back to Pennsylvania to pursue streaming and content creation.

Washington Justice

The Washington Justice started off the 2019 Overwatch League’s Regular Season with disappointing results. During the first three stages, the organization failed to achieve much and placed badly every time. The roster went 1-6 during the first two stages and 0-7 at the third. The team saw a lot more success with Stage 4 after the introduction of role locks. However, the Washington Justice have no chance on making it to Playoffs because of their overall League Standings.

The Washington Justice play their next match against Atlanta Reign on August 16. Fahzix will enter free agency in November. Still, he may transition to streaming instead, just like many other retired Overwatch competitive players.

With the organization’s newfound success, how do you think they will do during the 2020 Overwatch League season? Will you be rooting for the Washington Justice underdogs? Let us know in the comments, and keep up with all of the latest Overwatch news and content here at Daily Esports.
