The weapon meta in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is one of the most diverse the battle royale has ever seen. From ARs to SMGs to snipers, there’s not a truly dominant weapon class that’s stood out this season. This didn’t stop Raven Software from completely shifting the meta of Warzone with Season 4 Reloaded, however.
A plethora of weapons were changed with the update across nearly all classes. Although, the class to receive the most alterations was the AR category. It featured over a dozen changes to weapons in both Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War. With so many stat changes to popular ARs, many players are wondering what the new best rifle is in Warzone.
The best AR in Warzone Season 4 Reloaded
Determining the best weapon in any class is ultimately going to be a subjective task. Players feel more comfortable with a wide variety of guns and this affects opinions of the “best gun.” However, the weapon class that most feel uneasy about is the AR category.
Since the class featured the most weapon changes in Season 4 Reloaded, there’s some confusion about the new best rifle. While some might believe the FARA 83, XM4 or CR-56 AMAX still top the scale, the general consensus among the community is the C58 has taken the No. 1 spot.
Streamer Nick “Nickmercs” Kolcheff said it best in a recent video.
“Listen to me carefully, this gun is the best long-distance gun to use right now,” He said in the video. “Trust me.”
The community feels the same way following the Reloaded update. According to WZRanked.com, the C58 has seen nearly an 8% uptick in usage since last week. In addition, it features the highest Kill/Death ratio, 1.29, of any gun in Warzone.
If Nickmercs’ approval wasn’t enough, famed Warzone YouTuber JGOD also picked the C58 as his new best gun in Season 4. JGOD compared all of the AR changes and had the C58 come out on top.
Though fans might see the C58 received a nerf in the Reloaded update, it was nothing compared to the nerfs of the FARA 83 and XM4. These were considered the best ARs pre-patch but got taken down a few pegs. This has seemingly allowed the C58 to take center stage with its above average damage range and laser beam accuracy.
