The Legendary Quests are now live in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 and players have a chance to earn some valuable XP. With Season 8 approaching, players only have a couple of weeks to reach Tier 100 on their Season 7 Battle Pass. If they don’t, all of the skins they didn’t reach will disappear forever. To avoid this from happening, players must complete every Legendary Quest, including deploying scanners in an alien biome.

This is a familiar challenge to veteran players of Fortnite, as this task was already featured in Season 7. However, that task involved a bioscanner, and this one in Week 12 requires standard scanners. Of course, players still need to know the location of the scanners in order to finish the challenge quickly. Also, some players might need to learn what an alien biome is in Fortnite. Everything needed to succeed in this challenge is explained below.

Deploying scanners in an alien biome in Fortnite

In Week 12 of Fortnite, there are six total alien biomes. These are the purple impact locations that players can see when they bring up their map. However, the scanners are a different story, as they’re spread out amongst these locations.

As usual, Epic Games has provided a blue outline of the scanners for players. All that’s left to do is find the blue outlines, place the scanners and complete the challenge.

Below, players can see the locations of each alien biome in Fortnite.

For this Week 12 Legendary Quest, players only need to visit two of the biomes and place scanners at them. The blue-outlined scanners are easy to spot in each biome, so players won’t have any trouble placing them at whatever biome they choose to visit.

Once two scanners are placed, this challenge is complete. Players are then awarded 30,000 XP for their Season 7 Battle Pass.
