Wolves Esports announced the signing of a new roster, including Euan “Tadpole” Ingram, a Welsh veteran who faced some hardships throughout his career.

Wolves Esports, the esports division of English football club Wolverhampton Wanderers, joined the Rocket League Championship Series 2020 season. After some lackluster results, the organization dropped the roster and all players went their separate ways. Now, with Tadpole, Kieran “Rehzzy” Hogan and Zakariya “TriToN” Gavrilenko, the organization signs an up-and-coming roster led by an experienced veteran.

Wolves Esports remains in Rocket League

After dropping their roster at the conclusion of RLCS X, Wolves Esports announced they would be staying in Rocket League. Now, a few months later, the new roster has been revealed, but it is one with little experience and a large mountain to climb if they want to qualify for any main events. With the 2021-22 season of the RLCS, main events will feature just 16 teams each.

Wolves Esports have signed a veteran in Tadpole, who previously made it to the RLCS 7 World Champions with Triple Trouble — before facing some hardships. Tadpole had had a good run at RLCS 7 Worlds, finishing in a surprising fifth-eighth place, before both his teammates found a new team in the following offseason. This meant that Tadpole lost his spot for next season in the RLCS. He then began to struggle to make it back and was not seen in the RLCS again until Season X, over a year later. Now, Tadpole finally plays for an organization again.

While Wolves Esports has an experienced player on the roster, Tadpole’s teammates are still unproven. Rehhzy made his debut in the RLCS in Season X, but has not made it to many main events. TriToN has never made the RLCS before, but he did have decent performances in offseason tournaments. So, with competition rising and the amount of teams able to qualify for events, the Wolves have their work cut out for themselves.

But, Wolves Esports Coach and Manager Joessi “Juicy” Moorman does not fear the challenge.

“This upcoming season will be a ruthless one with only 16 teams per event, but I’m very confident in our abilities as a team and I’m sure we’ll make some waves,” Juicy said.
