Every new weapon in Fortnite Season 7

Season 7 introduces a ton of new weapons to the fold

Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 has arrived and so have the aliens. Developer Epic Games has promptly dubbed the season “Invasion,” which perfectly matches what’s happening on the island. Aliens have invaded Fortnite and brought with them a slew of new weapons for players to find and use in Season 7.

Along with the brand new weapons, Epic has also vaulted a wide variety of weapons, while also bringing some back. The weapon pool looks dramatically different than it did in Season 6, which will please some players more than others.

Brand new weapons in Fortnite Season 7

In total, there are four new weapons in Season 7 of Fortnite. In no particular order, they are as follows:

  • Pulse Rifle
  • Rail Gun
  • Recon Scanner
  • Kymera Ray Gun

Each of these new guns represents the alien theme well, as all are futuristic in appearance and action. Starting with the Pulse Rifle, which comes in four different rarities beginning with rare (blue). It has a base body damage of 33 and a max body damage of 38. The max damage comes from Slone’s Pulse Rifle, which can be found as a drop by defeating the NPC, Doctor Slone. Doctor Slone is located at a new POI, Corny Complex. One interesting aspect of the Pulse Rifle is that it’s fully auto when hip-fired, but its shots slow down when aiming down sights.

Next up is the Rail Gun, which is Fortnite’s new powerful sniper rifle. It comes in three rarities starting at blue and has a base body damage of 85, and max body damage of 94. The quirk with the Rail Gun is that it can charge up to fire a powerful shot for taking down walls. When charged up, the Rail Gun won’t have much bullet drop, if any.

Recon ahead

Third on the list is the Recon Scanner, which is one of the more unique weapons in Fortnite. It only comes in a blue variant and fires a recon bolt that can mark enemies and chests within the vicinity. If the recon bolt hits an enemy, it deals 98 damage. However, its primary use is for scouting purposes.

Last up is the Kymera Ray Gun, which comes in three rarities starting at rare. As the name suggests, the weapon spouts a continuous ray beam that deals small damage to enemies that builds up over time. The Ray Gun will need to be used in close-range gunfights, as it will be hard to stay on target at long range with one continuous shot.

All vaulted and unvaulted weapons

As is customary, Epic Games has also added and subtracted to the weapon pool with already-released guns. Below, players can see the weapons vaulted and unvaulted with the Season 7 update.

Vaulted

  • Infantry Rifle
  • Revolver
  • Dual Pistols
  • Rare Harpoon Gun

Unvaulted

  • Bolt-Action Sniper
  • Heavy Assault Rifle
  • Pistol
  • Hand Cannon
  • Suppressed SMG
  • Launch Pad

Epic Games may add or subtract weapons later in Fortnite Season 7 but as of right now, this is where the arsenal stands.
