How to earn a One Shot, One Kill medal in COD Mobile Season 7

Earn a classic COD medal with no trouble at all

Recently, Call of Duty Mobile released the Crossbow as the newest weapon in Season 7 Elite of the Elite. It’s certainly one of the most unique weapons to grace the mobile title but players won’t be able to unlock it so easily. Unlike the Hades, which is featured on the Season 7 Battle Pass, players must complete a set of seasonal challenges in order to earn the Crossbow. One of these challenges has already stumped players and it involves earning One Shot, One Kill medals.

This medal is one of the longest-tenured of the Call of Duty franchise but many COD Mobile players are unsure of how to earn it. Luckily, there are set methods to earning the medal.

Earning a One Shot, One Kill medal in COD Mobile

A One Shot, One Kill medal is when players kill an enemy with a single bullet. For the Target Practice seasonal challenge, players need to earn a One Shot, One Kill medal in five different multiplayer matches. This might sound daunting to some, at first, but it’s relatively painless once players know the best way to go about earning the medal.

The first step is to create a sniper loadout. The Locus is the recommended sniper to use in COD Mobile but any one will do. Once players have their sniper, they need to equip any damage-range boosting attachments on its loadout. This will make the weapon shots more deadly and have a higher chance of killing an enemy in one shot.

The next step is for players to load up a match on a map with long sight lines — like Highrise, Crossfire or Standoff. Once players are on the map, they must post up in a spot that enemies will cross through. The final step is to simply wait for an enemy to enter the sightline and shoot at them. As long as players aim for the upper chest or head, they’ll likely kill them in one shot.

Once players have a single One Shot, One Kill medal in a match, they can stop going for them. The Target Practice challenge only requires one in five different matches. Players can repeat the process of earning a medal in four more matches. Then, the challenge is complete and players are one step closer to unlocking the Crossbow.
