The best MP7 loadout in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3

The MP7 is still a great SMG more than one year later

There’s a certain class of weapons that can be described as the true veterans of Call of Duty: Warzone. This class includes the guns that have been either in or flirting with the meta in the battle royale.

Weapons like the MP5, Grau 5.56 and Bruen MK9 have been popular in one way or another since Warzone released. Another addition to that exclusive class is the MP7, which is somewhat overshadowed in Verdansk. In the early seasons, the MP7 was arguably the best SMG. It and the Modern Warfare MP5 were competing with each other for months, with the latter eventually winning out. However, the MP7 is still one of the most useful weapons in the game, providing great close and long-range effectiveness. Its top loadout hasn’t changed much in the past year, which only attests to how strong it is.

Like its namesake counterpart (MP5), the MP7 doesn’t have a true downside. Sure, it doesn’t have the range of an assault rifle or magazine size of a light machine gun. But an SMG’s main job in Warzone is to be serviceable at long range and deadly at close to medium range.

Other SMGs might be more popular than the MP7 but few are as effective in their job. The tried and true SMG only becomes more effective with its top loadout.

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: FSS Recon
  • Under barrel: Ranger Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags
  • Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape

The close-range prowess of the MP7 is increased in this loadout thanks to the Stippled Grip Tape. It boosts sprint-to-fire time dramatically, allowing players to get their weapon up faster. For gunfights beyond close range, the FSS Recon barrel increases damage range, recoil and bullet velocity.

Medium and long-range gunfights also benefit from the Monolithic Suppressor and Ranger Foregrip, both of which reduce recoil. Finally, the 60 Round Mags ensure players don’t run out of bullets when trying to take down multiple enemies.

The MP7 might not be as popular as it once was but it can still help secure victories in Warzone.
