The Welgun submachine gun is now officially live in Call of Duty: Vanguard. Players can either unlock it by completing an in-game challenge or buying a certain bundle from the store. The challenges are different in Vanguard, Warzone Pacific and Zombies, but they shouldn’t take players too long to complete. If players complete any of the challenges, they’ll unlock the Welgun for the other games as well. This is perfect for players looking to level up the Welgun and equip its best loadout right off the bat in Vanguard.
Activision described the Welgun as a heavy SMG that can kill an enemy in three shots with hits to vital areas. This is a fast time-to-kill but players might need some other attachments to help this damage along. First and foremost, the gun’s mobility needs some extra attachments to make it competitive with other SMGs in Vanguard.

The Welgun is currently one of the stronger SMGs in Vanguard thanks to some key attachments. Its damage is absolutely lethal and players can kill multiple enemies with ease, as long as they throw on some other supporting attachments.

For overall recoil control, players can equip the M1941 Hand Stop and Slate Reflector. To increase damage and bullet velocity, the .45 58 Round Mags and Lengthened are perfect for the task. Finally, mobility is improved with the Gawain Skeletal stock and Fabric Grip. Players will be able to ADs much faster than before, giving them an edge in close-range gunfights.
The Welgun is certainly at the top of weapon loadouts that players should use in Season 1 of Vanguard.
