As the offseason continues, WePlay Esports bridges the gap to the Rocket League Championship Series Season 11, with a Psyonix-supported tournament. The tournament features most of the top teams from North America and Europe, but Saudi team Sandrock Gaming, who are not allowed to play in the RLCS, have also been invited.

All you need to know about the WePlay Esports Rocket League Invitational

North America:

The tournament will offer a first look at some of the teams who made a roster move during this offseason. There will be many eyes on the likes of Dignitas, Karmine Corp, Guild Esports, Sandrock Gaming, Semper Esports, FaZe Clan, Rogue and Soniqs. Each of these teams have signed or lost high-profile players, and the Invitational will provide a first look at their new lineups.

The Invitational is set to be held on Sept. 16 through Sept. 19, with a double-elimination bracket for both regions. All matches will be best-of-7, meaning the match days will likely run fairly long. The event will be hosted from the WePlay Esports Arena Kyiv, but the broadcast talent has not yet been revealed.

The tournament organizers are excited about expanding into Rocket League, including Eugene Luchianenco, head of esports at WePlay Esports.

“We have no intention to stop developing: we continue to explore and discover new titles and areas of work,” Luchianenco said. “Rocket League has made waves among the esports community. I am sure that the WePlay Esports Invitational Featuring Rocket League will pleasantly surprise the fans of the game with what our team has in store for the event.”
